Xmas Time Come and Gone or Catching Up

So Xmas has come and gone. I'd say I had a pretty decent time, what with getting both the complete Monty Python's Flying Circus DVD set and The Harold Lloyd Comedy Collection, two sets I really wanted. A few days before, I treated myself to the Robocop Trilogy, Sonny Chiba Shogun Collection, Sledgehammer Season 1, and a Wii. Yes, I found a Wii. I had resigned myself to waiting for a while, until one fell into my lap. I now have DragonBall Z and Trauma Centre, both of which are super cool. Although I am not devoting full attention to them until I beat Scarface on the Xbox.
I have managed to score work on all 3 stats at the depot this holiday, so it makes my vacation from MFS that much more profitable. The next month I will be rolling in cash. Which is good, as I need to begin to save for that mystical future.
The screening of my movie is coming up on the 4th at the Park Theatre. Should be good times. Seriously though, I'll just be happy to get the damn thing over with, as I am really sick of it and want to move on the a bigger and better project. I have ideas!
Erin's been back in town for the holidays, which has been nice. She goes back next Sunday for her second term and then will be back pretty much for good in April. That means its a few months of phone relations again. I'm not the biggest fan of that sort of thing, but what can you do. That's life.
Come January, I'll be focusing almost entirely on having a "normal" life. That is working Mon-Fri regular hours. It'll be the first time I've ever done that for an extended time period. Hello grown-up world. The next stage is escaping the 'rents house. Not that it's all that bad here, I mean no rent to pay, my own little area to watch TV and play games... it's just that there comes a point in your life where it's time to move on and go on your own. That time was probably a few years ago...
Meat Loaf's Bat ouf of Hell 3 sucks balls. I think 80% of it is wasted space. I hope the concert is better.
I guess that's all for now. Take it Easy.

The Week of Hell Begins or I Don't Feel Like Showering Today

Today officially begins the week of hell, although it's stuck right in the middle of the two weeks of unpleasantness. You see, these two weeks I am forced to work two jobs. The past week was ok, because I only had to double shift once, last night. But the coming week, I must do it not once, not twice, but thrice! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I will be working 9-5 at Manitoba Film & Sound, and 5-10:30 at GreyHound. All things considered, it could be worse. I could've had to do it 5 times. You see, some have asked me why I didn't just drop the 'hound when I got the new gig. Well, I've always been a prudent lad, and I think it's better to wait until the probationary period ends before dropping my safety net. I'm sure that I'll be ok, but still. Better safe than sorry. I did have to relinquish all full time seniority at the depot... whoop dee doo. The only time I was ever full time was at Xmas, which is the worst time of the year anyway. Part time is much better for your sanity and health.
I've been battling over getting a Wii for a while now. Having played it, I know that it rocks. The question remains, how much of a dork am I? Am I willing to camp out to get one? Not a chance. I'll just wait until they are readily available. I have grown past the "need to get it now" phase of gaming. How very Buddhist of me!
If not stated before, it should become known, that 80's wrestling is the greatest of all. That period was so awesome that it pains me to see what the business has become.
The new Meat Loaf album is kind of blah. There are a few rockin' tunes, but also a few cringe worthy crap fests.
I see so many movies that I forget half of them a little while later, but of the last few I've seen; Marie Antoinette was ok, Tenacious D was awesome, Casino Royale was great, For Your Consideration was not so good. See, I've even forgotten the others that I'v seen!
Have I mentioned that I don't feel like showering today? I mean, I'll be at the 'hound most of the day, and that place stinks anyway! Not that I stink, I mean I smell like the perfume of the gods... that or Old Spice deodorant.
I would appear that my movie will premiere the 23rd of December at the Park Theatre. Unless something changes. Come one come all!
That's enough for now I suppose.
