Shaun of the Dead or Hockey, Hockey, Hockey

Checked out "Shaun of the Dead" tonight and suffice to say it was awesome. Everything that I wanted to see in a zombie movie; gore, comedy, and silliness. It was like they took everything I had been pondering and Britishized it! Seeing some of the cast from "The Office" was also sweet.
Avoind the sport for 10 years or so (ever since the Jets left) has seemingly built up a hockey reserve inside of me that has decided to release itself now. I've been glued to ESPN NHL 2K5, re-watched my old Rock 'Em Sock 'Em tapes, and found myself researching the old WHA on the internet... there is even a new book called "The Rebel League" about the WHA that just came out that I am going to buy... What gives??? I guess I just missed the sport and was avoiding the fact... Maybe something to do with me aversion of the whole jock culture....
I am going to go eat some cookies... large ones with smarties inside....
