Match Point or Sore Back
I checked out "Match Point" at the cheap theatre with Erin the other night and we were both mightily impressed. It's a great dark comedy/thriller/social satire piece that was well worth the $1.75 admission. You'd never know that is was a Woody Allen movie! I'm a little unclear as to why they constantly were showing the boom mic in shots... I have theories, but nothing confirmed. Strangely enough, none of the writing on the net seems to mention this fact. Any ideas out there?
The past little while my lower back has been sore. I assume this is from a job that requires a great deal of lifting and my general lack of stretching and preparing before workouts. I guess the days where I could just bust in and bust out are over. Stupid age!
I had to pick up a tripod for my camera the other day. I wasn't really looking to get a cheapo crappy model, but I also did not want to spend $500! I settled on a mid-level unit for $260, which was high enough. It's a solid piece of equipment and should do the job nicely. Best of all is the fact that it comes with a carrying case! Woot!
The feature film that we hope to shoot this summer is coming along nicely. The script is done and I've been mentioning the project to various people who are more than willing to chip in. It should be a whole hell of a lot of fun! Now all I need is more money.
