Been a While or Red Velvet Cake!
I have had zero desire to update for a while now, but I figured I would do so today for the hell of it. Things have been pretty low key overall. With Erin gone, I don't get to go out as much, especially to movies. She's good in that she'll pretty much see anything, whereas most people I know tend to stick in their tastes and avoid seening something "different". That's not to say everyone I know is like that, but the people who aren't are always really busy.
I've been working on the follow up to "The Killing Death" which is going ok. I'm about 30 pages into the thing and I see some potential. At this point, I just want to write it and get it over with. After a first draft is done, THEN I can really start to make it good. I think the last script went through something like 10 updates as time went on. I can usually think of much better things to put in AFTER I've written something. Although I've still been thinking of better things to put in TKD and it's already edited and done. I'm on a bit of a time crunch with this one, as Jeremy is moving to Vancouver at the end of April and I really want him to be in this one, if only for a short scene.
My mom brought home some Red Velvet cake from the Sals. Damn that shit is good. I could eat a whole cake at once. Hmmmm.... maybe I'll give that a shot sometime...
The new job has been going fairly smoothly. I don't think I've fucked up anything too much yet. The safety net of Mark is now gone, as he is officially quit, so we're on our own from here on out. Eh, I'm sure everything will work out ok.
Barenaked Ladies concert coming up. This'll be the second time I've seen them live. The last one was a blast, so I have high hopes.
I was playing far too much Civilization IV recently. That game is uber-addictive. Then again, they all are.
I've noticed that sitting at a desk all day makes me not want to sit at my computer when I get home. While Civilization IV could supercede this sentiment, writing a screenplay isn't the best motivation to sit and type for hours. If only I could do that as part of my job... Hmmmmm....
This is a really rambling post, but eh, what the hell do I care.
The new K-Os album is really really good. And I don't even like rap. Though I don't think I would classify him as rap, as he actually sings.
That's about all I can stomach right now... I really should get back to writing my movie.
