There Goes Xmas or Full Time Then Nothing!

About a week ago I was handed a laundry list of car repairs that needed to be done... the total... 1200$. I had the most pressing things taken care of right away, which cost me 800$. Ouch! It looks like this year I pulled a Lee! Well anyway, there goes xmas. I had done most of the shopping before this happened, but not all. Looks like the rest of you get some home cooking!
I've been working full time for the past week and will be doing so for the next two. After that, I am essentially laid off, as the work slows down to a crawl and things will be very tight. I am seriously considering taking the official lay off, going on unemployment, and doing something else. I think this would be a good opportunity to not only find a better, more stable job, but also make some more short films. I mean, I do have a pile of scripts just waiting to be shot after all...
Speaking of short films, mine played really well on Thursday. I have a DVD of them sitting here right now, but there are some minor technical changes that I want to make before putting them on an official release. Everyone told me to apply for the first film fund, as it provides $4000, training, and a mentorship to make a short film. I'm thinking that I will!
